A VERY URGENT CALL TO EVERY CHRISTIAN IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
A STRUGGLE IS NOW TAKING PLACE FOR THE SOUL OF OUR NATION AT THIS TIME OF CRISIS
This call is made in the name of many thousands of members of the Anglican, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Salvation Army, United Reformed, New and Independent Churches right across the UK
WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THE UNITED PRAYER OF GOD’S PEOPLE WILL HAVE AN IMMEDIATE AND POWERFUL INFLUENCE UPON THE STATE OF OUR NATION TODAY.
It is urgent that, as Christians, we take our positions as members of the Body of Christ and PRAY earnestly for the United Kingdom.
The current riots across the land hold up a mirror to the moral and spiritual sickness of our nation. The issues facing us today are not primarily political or social but spiritual. This is yet another manifestation of the consequences of our nation turning its back on God and His ways. It follows the exposure of corruption in the banking system, the Parliamentary expenses scandal, the phone hacking inquiry and corruption in the police.
We believe that God, in His mercy, is shining the light of His Truth on to the ugly wound of our nation which is in need of cleansing and healing. The riots are the fruit of our betrayal of our younger generations whom we have robbed of hope and purpose.
The police, politicians and others in positions of worldly authority are desperately searching for ways to bring the rioters under control. In this situation it is the mandate of the people of God to exercise spiritual authority through united prayer.
WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO JOIN WITH CHRISTIANS FROM OTHER CHURCHES IN YOUR AREA TO PRAY FOR THE NATION:
- For those in positions of authority – MP’s, Local councils, Police, Community leaders – to be given wisdom and Godly advice.
- For church leaders to speak with one voice, identifying clearly the spiritual nature of what is happening.
- For confusion of spiritual communication between demonic forces and a collapse of mob formation.
- For protection of people, their lives and their property in areas of rioting, and protection of police and those enforcing law and order.
- For cleansing and healing of the underlying causes of our national sickness.
PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING THOSE WHO ARE PRAYING ON THE STREETS OF OUR CITIES DURING THE DAYTIME AND GATHERING IN CHURCH BUILDINGS AND HOMES TO PRAY AT NIGHT

Our little Maranatha group in Gravesend had, providentially we now know, to change our usual prayer meeting to last night, and also providentially, met at Strood instead of our usual location. We were able therefore, from the start of our meeting to join as one body to pray “in the breach” for our area (there’d been trouble in Chatham and Gillingham the previous night) at 8:00 for that evening, and, yet again providentially, were meeting and praying in the direct line of sight of the whole of the Medway area, which meant we could stretch our hands out to all that was before us and claim in for the Lord against the spirits of darkness. We were small in number and almost all middle aged and elderly, yet powerfully knew that the Lord was present, guarding and protecting the area through us, weak though we were. Let’s all of us do this! At the moment we believe that it’s powerful, humbler prayer that’s needed. The talk can come later!

Thank you. We agree prayer is of the greatest importance at this time. We also realise the urgent need for each of us to have understanding and revelation about the sin of our Nation. Particularly in our past dealings with the Nation of Israel. We are told clearly in the scriptures that ill treatment of God’s people and nation will bring divine retribution. I therefore suggest we include repentence for this in our prayers for the atrosities committed over many years to His precious people by our own Nation.

Thanks for sending me this message
. Your assessment of the situation is true.
The need of prayer and penance is great.
Jesus has overcome the world already.
We have to join wholeheartedly with HIm in a mission that is already conquered and won.
May the heavenly armies assist you in fighting the evil one.
May the Virgin Mary be with you to guide and protect you from all dangers and may the Holy Spirit give you the wisdom to act in peace, unity and courage.
Wishing you all success,
Benigna

Yes I agree entirely that we need to step the pray, to be united together as one army and move as one man. I wish there was somewhere where I live in the Rowlands Gill area of Gateshead borough to pray with.

Your article is nice sounding but somewhat late in delivery. We blame politicians, economics and world events in general for the deplorable standards now endemic in this nation, without ever considering the consequences of endemic sin within the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in what was once a nation easily recognisable as Christian. When salt has lost its saltiness it ceases to be good for anything. Is it not time for leaders in the Church to return to biblical standards and beliefs? Anything less will simply set the nation up for ever increasing judgement, remembering that judgement begins in The House of God not The House of Commons.

Hallelujah to the Lord for sending the rain which stopped the rioters last night!

Please turn to Romans chapter one verses 18-32 to get an insight to what is happening today. Also by the grace of God, at the shrine of Our Lady of Williesden, Harlesden, NW10 nicole rd preplanned to 9 11 we were called to meet on that day to pray for the conversion and protection of the city of London. God has a plan: it is up to us to respond.

On the BBC morning news a single mother (Jean Paul) from Croydon, told how her teenage son was bombarded with calls to join the fray, by his contemporaries; her friends encouraged her to keep him indoors. She kept him indoors, and confessed on camera that she had drawn strength from God – something she would not have been able to do a few years ago. On her mention of God, there was a horrified response in the studio – this is the problem: the culture formers, including the news media, are secular to the extreme, denying any power of the Divine.

Thank you so much for this unifying call to prayer – this is as important to the UK as the Battle of Britain – the enemies in this case are the unseen principalities and powers. We met to pray in Cullompton on Wednesday night. We believe that the Lord showed us that we are reaping what we have sown. We have stood by while our schools have been taken over by humanism, evolution and self-agrandissment. We teach people that we evolved by chance from apes, then wonder why the same people behave like apes – only worse!! We have allowed almost unchecked, legislation that grieves God’s heart concerning abortion, homosexuality, “human rights” and discipline. We have not supported God’s people. As God’s church we acknowledge our failures and passive complacency, and ask, Lord for Your mercy. Please help us to stand together to confess the sovereignty of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please help us to help to restore respect for You, for ourselves and others. Bless you all as you follow the Master, Jesus, the Messiah.

This last article by Irvine Martin Smith is a step in the right direction but does not go far enough. Prayer is Great but is it from the soul, as a mark of feeling uncomfortable at recent events, or is it from the ‘Spirit’, as a result of deep repentance for the plight of our nation, and the sorrow inflicted on the heart of God. Until their is absolute honesty about the true condition of the church and its inability to be a light to the nation, we’re on a fast train going nowhere. Whatever happened to that beautiful word ‘Repentance’ and the ensuing sorrow for sin as, the bride truly humbles herself and gets much more specific and comprehensive about what she needs to repent of. Truly, The Lord God is merciful, but without truth in The House of God we’re all just following religious political correctness. Present Church leaders have demonstrated their inability to lead the people and the nation in this endtime final harvest, that will act as a beacon of light to our nation. Ordinary, faceless believers need to stand in the gap and acknowledge personal responsibility for restoring hope and faith to our nation. As we each, of one accord, arise and operate in the faith and gifting so pricelessly earned for us by our Precious Lord and Saviour, mindful to seek Glory only for Him, surely ‘Restoration’ in part, will follow, to those willing to renounce personal ambition and Ministry building. It should be obvious to all by now that God in ‘His’ love is choosing to bring judgement to this nation. While there’s still time let us recognise and interpret ‘The writing on the wall’, Daniel 5 verse 25 but for those disadvantaged who’ve camped in places where Bible teaching has been replaced with motivational feel good sessions, it’s time to smell the coffee and get with the ‘Divine Plan’.

Praise the Lord that His Church is uniting in prayer! I believe that we here in the UK are experiencing such difficulties because of our treatment of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, both now and in the past. We have lost our empire because of broken promises and many in the church do not see the relevance of the nation of Israel in the Bible. We need to deeply repent for all our past sins regarding this nation and for our arrogance. I believe we are seeing these shakings worldwide, and particularly here in the UK and also in America, because we are seeking to divide up the Land covenanted by God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants forever. I believe we do this at our peril. May God have mercy.
